Role Overview

The Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for managing procurement activities for gas turbine auxiliary equipment from proposal and Notice to Proceed through site delivery and project warranty. This role ensures all contractual, budgetary, schedule, and quality requirements are met while serving as the central coordination point between internal teams, suppliers, EPCs, and customers. The position manages multiple complex projects concurrently and supports supply chain risk mitigation, cost control, and execution strategy development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of GT auxiliary equipment from contract award through delivery while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for project-specific procurement activities, schedules, and communications.
  • Establish, track, and maintain material demand, equipment requirements, and procurement execution plans.
  • Manage suppliers through production, expediting, and delivery while monitoring capacity and mitigating supply chain risk.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while managing commercial, contractual, and financial risk.
  • Review and interpret contract terms, bid proposals, purchasing procedures, and policies.
  • Maintain procurement records and prepare reports, analysis, and execution recommendations.
  • Resolve conflicts, prioritize competing project demands, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop mitigation plans for schedule, cost, and supply risks and support long-term execution strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and may lead or supervise others as required.
  • Review project forecasts to establish execution strategies and labor requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Eight (8) years of supply chain experience, or eight (8) years of technical experience with power generation equipment or power plant construction, or an equivalent combination.
  • Experience managing complex procurement scopes involving commercial, schedule, and financial risk.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with standard business tools; experience with SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, Excel, and Primavera P6 preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operate with limited supervision.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.
