Role Overview

 

The Treasury Manager is a critical member of the Corporate Controllership organization, responsible for leading and evolving the company’s multinational treasury operations across the United States and Latin America. This role oversees core treasury functions including cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking infrastructure, risk governance, and administration of a multinational standby Letter of Credit (LC) facility, ensuring compliant, timely, and accurate issuance and maintenance of LC instruments.

 

The Treasury Manager partners closely with regional finance teams, business units, commercial operations, tax, legal, accounting, and external banking partners to safeguard liquidity, support operational execution, and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Treasury Operations & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor daily cash positions across all domestic and LATAM bank accounts, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
  • Lead short‑term and mid‑term cash flow forecasting processes, providing actionable insights for working capital planning and senior management reporting.
  • Oversee global fund movements, including domestic and cross-border transfers, intercompany settlements, and repatriation activities where applicable.
  • Maintain secure banking access, user entitlement governance, and control frameworks for all treasury systems.

 

Banking Infrastructure & Relationship Management

  • Manage end‑to‑end bank account administration across the U.S. and Latin America, including openings, closures, signatory updates, KYC renewals, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as primary liaison with banking partners for treasury operations, issue resolution, LC issuance, and project‑related needs.

 

Letter of Credit (LC) Facility Management

  • Lead the administration of the company’s standby LC facility, including issuance, renewals, amendments, and compliance with internal approval workflows.
  • Coordinate LC applications with business units, legal, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and bank guidelines.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end LC workflows, including drafting, bank reviews, beneficiary confirmations, and approvals by corporate officers as required.
  • Maintain reporting and monitoring of LC outstanding balances, expirations, and collateral or covenant requirements as applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in LC processes, controls, documentation, and automation.

 

Policy, Controls & Governance

  • Maintain global treasury policies, procedures, and governance standards to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risk.
  • Ensure treasury data integrity and adherence to internal controls, including segregation of duties and audit requirements.
  • Document and update process flows and standard operating procedures to reflect current practices across regions.

 

Systems, Technology & Integration

  • Lead automation of treasury processes and integration of banking systems with ERP and Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
  • Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives, including payment modernization and LC process digitization.
  • Drive enhancements that improve visibility, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

 

Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration

  • Partner with LATAM regional finance teams to ensure treasury practices comply with local regulations, tax considerations, currency controls, and internal policy.
  • Provide treasury support for commercial operations, project financing needs, and contract‑driven LC issuance.
  • Support M&A and strategic initiatives requiring treasury expertise as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of treasury, banking, or corporate finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Experience managing LC facilities or trade finance instruments strongly preferred.
  • SAP or large ERP experience preferred; treasury system proficiency a plus.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of corporate treasury practices, banking operations, and liquidity management.
  • Understanding of U.S. and LATAM banking environments, regulatory considerations, and cross‑border treasury processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across multiple levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail, strong process orientation, and commitment to governance and controls.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required to effectively support treasury operations, banking interactions, and cross‑regional collaboration across the U.S. and Latin America.
