Role Overview
The Vice President, Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and executing Mitsubishi Power Americas' integrated marketing communications strategy to strengthen brand equity, accelerate business growth, enhance customer engagement, and elevate corporate reputation. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this executive leader provides strategic direction across brand management, executive and employee communications, digital marketing, media relations, events, and stakeholder engagement.
The Vice President serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and partners closely with business unit leaders, corporate functions, and global marketing teams to advance strategic priorities, improve market positioning, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role leads the Marketing Communications organization and oversees a business partner model that ensures marketing communications resources are aligned with commercial objectives, enterprise priorities, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing integrated B2B marketing communications, corporate reputation, employee communications, digital marketing, and event programs that drive business growth and strengthen brand equity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable ability to conceptualize and implement marketing initiatives that drive Mitsubishi Power engagement and sales with its customers, prospects, and employees:
- Strategic B2B marketing and communications leadership

Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the corporate marketing communications strategy.
- Lead and develop the Marketing Communications organization, including Brand & Reputation, Internal Communications, Digital Marketing, Events, and Business Partner functions.
- Establish and optimize a high-performing Marketing Communications business partner model that aligns communications, branding, and marketing resources to strategic business priorities, customer engagement objectives, and revenue growth initiatives.
Brand & Reputation
- Develop and execute enterprise reputation management strategies that strengthen Mitsubishi Power's position as an industry leader.
- Own corporate branding and enterprise messaging.
- Ensure consistent brand standards across all channels.
- Own media relations, public relations, reputation management, and external communications strategy, ensuring effective execution through internal teams and agency partners.
Executive & Employee Communications
- Partner with executive leadership to develop strategic messaging, executive communications, thought leadership initiatives, speeches, presentations, and stakeholder engagement strategies that support corporate objectives and market positioning.
- Own employee communications supporting company values, vision, and strategy.
Digital Marketing
- Provide executive oversight of website, social media, digital advertising, agency partners, marketing operations, analytics, and digital communications processes.
- Establish KPIs and report results to leadership.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives by leveraging analytics, customer insights, marketing automation, AI-enabled technologies, and data-driven decision making to improve customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.
Events & External Engagement
- Coordinate event strategy across business units and optimize spending.
- Oversee trade shows, customer events, technical conferences, and corporate events.
Global Collaboration
- Serve as the regional marketing lead with MHI HQ and other Mitsubishi Power regions.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive marketing and communications leadership experience, including significant experience leading enterprise-wide marketing communication strategies, managing teams, and supporting commercial growth objectives.
- Experience in energy, industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors strongly preferred.
- Proven success in building brands, leading teams, and supporting business growth through integrated marketing programs.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, CRM, and modern marketing technologies.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to influence executive leaders and drive alignment across complex organizations.
- Experience managing external agencies, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working within global organizations and matrixed environments preferred.
