Position: Full-time, fixed term 1 year with possibility to extend

Reporting to: Head of HR
Purpose of the job:
To oversee and support the Global Mobility Operations on a Regional level in EMEA. To manage, support and develop the Global Mobility Officer in their role and support the Head of HR in achieving the overall HR strategy.
General Duties
- Responsible for the overall provision of services in terms of expatriate payroll, tax equalization, social security, and coordination of benefits and compensation packages to the group companies in EMEA
- Oversee the human resource aspects of international employee placements, and the production of correspondence related to assignment, extension or repatriation is completed as required
- Work closely with colleagues in Japan to support the main expatriate population from Japan to EMEA region
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with group companies to support their Global Mobility processes including an extended HR scope for a small population in France
- Responsible for keeping updated with changes in legislation and policy in the region especially relating to immigration and tax (with support from specialists in these fields) and develop and update internal policies and processes to maintain compliance
- Oversee the data administration and that employee information is maintained and stored ensuring it is accurate and compliant with GDPR
- Support and advise on Global Mobility matters for new business within EMEA region
- Initiate and lead new regional projects for Global Mobility including governance aspects
- Responsible for all other matters related to Global Mobility, including business visitors and branch visitors, business travel especially taking into consideration COVID-19 impact, PWD, people impact from Brexit.
- Responsible for HR services to small French company (less than 10 people)
- Work with international agencies, vendors, and government officials
- Work with other members of the HR team to achieve Global Mobility and HR department targets
Required Skills and Experience
- Japanese speaker
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Global Mobility field
- Experience of working with tax equalisation for expatriates in Global Mobility field
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of Management
- Good people management skills with ability to motivate, engage, give feedback and develop a small team
- Excellent customer service attitude (internal / external)
- Ability to manage priorities and quickly adapt to new situations
- Initiative and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks
- Good analytical skills

- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent
- MS Office (Advanced)
Desirable but not essential Skills/Experience
- University Degree or comparable qualification
- Immigration and visa application experience
- Project Management experience
- Experience of working with companies across European region
- Experience of working in a multinational organisation
- Understanding of Permanent Establishment (P.E.) risks
Location:

- Some travel to group companies’ offices in the UK and Europe, and travel to Head Office in Japan may be required
Working Hours:
- 7 hours per day
- 35 hours per week
