What you’ll be doing…at the core

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) actively participates in the administration of comprehensive human resource policies and procedures. Collects and processes human resource data to support business units in the areas of employee relations, labor relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, benefits administration, FAA drug and alcohol program compliance, and worker compensation and salary administration. This role will also interpret and apply HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate must have good organizational skills, an unwavering attention to detail and be autonomous. This role also requires an individual with good interpersonal and communication skills to manage all parties involved with the process and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and process day-to-day HR transactions
  • Maintain data integrity of payroll and benefit details in HR systems
  • Lead and maintain new hire orientation, which includes: presentations, paperwork compliance, and ensure hiring managers are informed
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing employees; provide insights & data for retention trends
  • Maintain daily/weekly contact with our shared services center (MSSA) for HR activities, which may include: payroll, payroll corrections, time off reports, etc.
  • Support variety of HR activities including: salary recommendations, performance management activities (training, documentation)
  • Research and respond to questions from employees and managers regarding Human Resource programs, policies and procedures; establish and maintain effective work relationships within department and all employees
  • Create and maintain reports; draft letters as needed
  • Maintain personnel files (electronic and hardcopy)
  • Provide support for core HR projects including but not limited to: employee development, staff relations, Co-Op Programs, etc
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices to influence HR activities
  • Maintain records of time-off requests and changes to be sent to Payroll

 

As our ideal candidate, you have:

  • 3+ years professional and progressive experience with a bachelor’s degree in related field, OR 5+ years professional and progressive experience in related field
  • Advance user/skill of Microsoft’s Programs: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word Computer skills
  • You are a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal); posses thorough and meticulous standards
  • Possess a customer service mindset; seek and obtain first-hand customer information and apply toward improvement(s) in products and services
  • You are: organized, structured in your approach to work tasks, have a positive outlook with an approachable demeanor
  • SPHR or PHR certification is a plus
  • Hands on HRIS system experience is required; Success Factors is a plus
