As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be at the heart of managing our site inventory, ensuring that all parts, tools, and materials are efficiently tracked, allocated, and replenished to support ongoing operations. You'll utilize computerized inventory systems and work closely with various teams to maintain accurate records and optimize inventory levels. This role is key in driving the company’s profitability by ensuring that all assets are readily available, well-maintained, and efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Oversee and monitor site inventory using advanced computerized
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage all storeroom activities, including receiving, recording, tracking, and allocating spare parts, tools, and materials to meet operational needs.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Coordinate deliveries, shipping, and the return of parts for repairs. Ensure efficient handling of returned items, repairs, and warranty processes.
  • Work Support Order: Issue parts to work orders and support maintenance teams by tracking open and closed work orders and inventory consumables.
  • Reporting Analysis: Monitor and report on inventory levels, generating monthly summaries of system consumables and performance metrics to guide procurement and operational decisions.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in the purchase requisition and order process, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained to prevent downtime and delays.

 

 

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • On-site & Off-site Logistics: Assist with off-site pick-ups and site-wide allocation of parts, tools, and materials to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures, operating rules, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Participate in cross-functional meetings, communicating inventory needs, resolving issues, and keeping up to date on industry developments and regulatory guidelines.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in inventory control, shipping, or receiving roles.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with computerized inventory systems is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and track inventory levels with precision.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inventory issues and take proactive steps to resolve them.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training: Inventory control or related training preferred to ensure you have the skills needed to manage and optimize our inventory systems.
