MHICA's technicians build and join wing assemblies and fuselage sections, as well as perform systems and flight control assembly installations and testing.

 

Scope of Position

 

Reporting to the Avionics Supervisor, the Avionics Technician is responsible for installation of wire harness on aircraft, wire/connectors termination, troubleshooting and performing/documentation of all work tasks while conforming to appropriate manuals and regulations.

 

  • Install and connect wing fuel tank wire harness assembly.
  • Install wing L/E and T/E wire harness assembly.
  • Install wing tip lights and power supply.
  • Terminate connectors and terminal lugs.
  • Install leak detection elements on the wing anti-ice system.
  • Test fuel tank capacitance.
  • Test continuity and isolation of all connectors after termination.
  • May initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality/ environmental system.
  • May identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality/ environmental system.
  • May initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • May verify the implementation of solutions.
  • May control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfied condition has been corrected.
  • Must be physically fit, energetic, agile, willing and able to:
  • Lift up to 40lbs.
  • Stand and walk for full shift hours or as required.
  • Bend and twist as required.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Solid technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to work shifts to accommodate production scheduling.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Exposure to quality systems and safety fundamentals

 

 

 

 

 

Experience

 

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience an aerospace or manufacturing environment.

 

Education

  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or similar is required.
