We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Manager Talent Acquisition (Maternity Cover) to join our HR team on a contract basis (8-10 months).   The Manager – Talent Acquisition will be responsible for full cycle recruitment, job fairs, education and community partnerships, employer branding, social media presence, and interview training. They will partner with the HR Business Partners and hiring managers to effectively shift priorities as needed.  This role is fast paced with high-volume recruitment; an amazing opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic recruiter looking to make an impact and influence the future of Aerospace!

 

This position will report to the Head of HR.

The primary responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, mentor and develop the Talent Acquisition team to deliver high quality recruitment outcomes.
  • Manage all aspects of the full cycle recruitment process from posting to onboarding; develop and execute innovative talent strategies, leveraging industry leading practices and market insights to proactively target qualified active and passive candidates for positions from entry to senior level.
  • Develop or update job descriptions and develop captivating job postings.
  • Work in partnership with internal customers through the recruitment cycle; ensure an efficient and effective hiring process is being followed.
  • Contribute strategic ideas regarding sourcing candidates, marketing, and assessment tools.
  • Negotiate compensation/level issues and conduct reference checks, background check, and other selection strategies are completed.
  • Follow a consistent process and best practices for selecting highest quality candidates, aligned with MHICA’s Guiding Principles.
  • Develop, provide, and carry out strategies to ensure open positions are filled efficiently yet focused on quality of hire while building and maintaining a healthy talent pipeline.
  • Manage candidate communication to ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience and positive brand experience.
  • Develop social media practices for sourcing candidates.
  • Leverage various recruitment sources, tactics, and tools to execute on recruitment strategies and provide insight/guidance to business leaders on benefits of recommended approach.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with HR team and internal customers to understand current and future talent needs and provide consultation on optimal sourcing strategies.

Education

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience.

Skills & Experience

  • 5-7 years' HR experience with a focus on full cycle recruitment preferably in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years experience managing a talent acquisition team preferred.
  • Experience with successfully recruiting for professionals for all aspects of an organization; Aerospace experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Proven experience to develop creative talent acquisition solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, and commitment to objectives and responsibilities
  • Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of recruiting sources, including direct sourcing, social media (Linkedln) and networking.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to work in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to deliver on results within aggressive deadlines, exceptional prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional internal customer service skills.
  • Experience developing, executing, and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPl's) for your team.
