Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for providing support in all areas of the recruitment and onboarding process.  

  • Support internal customers through the recruitment cycle, ensure an efficient and effective hiring process is being followed.
  • Post ads on job boards, social media, and company career page to target a broad pool of applicants.
  • Handle tasks related to candidate screening and interview scheduling.
  • Roll out offer letters, background, and reference checks. Liaise with internal customers to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Follow a consistent process and best practices for selecting highest quality candidates, aligned with MHICA’s Guiding Principles.
  • Manage candidate communication to ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience and positive brand experience.
  • Collect and manage required paperwork from new hires such as tax forms and new employee information.
  • Research industry trends, advise on how to improve recruitment strategies and deliver on headcount requirements.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Track Recruitment metrics, and proactively plan to drive continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Approachable, friendly, and engaging communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex messages.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable in order to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of progressive recruitment experience within a large or mid-sized Company.
  • Working knowledge of ATS, SAP SuccessFactors preferred.

Education

  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is preferred.
