Scope of Position

Reporting to the Director – Finance and Human Resources responsibilities focus on the budgetary control systems, through the preparation of numerous cost reports, monitoring, analyzing, and demonstrating commitment to budget and forecast.  The Supply Chain Cost Control Analyst regularly interfaces with departmental and project managers to maintain accurate, updated information on cost/budgets.  A detail-oriented self-starter, the Supply Chain Cost Control Analyst demonstrates strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills to work effectively with multiple departments as well as various internal and external customers.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand the business systems and how they operate.
  • Create PowerBi Reports to manage all areas of the Supply Chain: 
  • Monthly billing for both Spares and a/c parts 
  • Monitor WIP variance and Opex Jobs 
  • Monitor Inventory levels (Active and inactive) 
  • Inventory Forecasting reports (Active, Obsolete and excess) 
  • Part cost forecasting 
  • Part cost issuing by a/c (RM, Itag, regular, etc) 
  • System parameters 
  • Over issues reporting 
  • Work directly with the finance team on Billing, budgeting and WIP variance. 
  • Issue a daily/weekly exception report (newsletter) so we can correct real-time. 
  • Maintain weekly and monthly KPI’s and 4 blockers.
  • Analyze and take action to hold people accountable to maintain the data integrity of all the reports above.  
  • Suggest areas of retraining if required to the Syspro Systems and Process Specialist. 
  • Analyze the data to look for areas of improvement and put plans together to achieve these improvements and hold people accountable to achieve these. 
  • Be accountable to drive corrective action with the owners of the data through all departments.
  • Be accountable to ask for support and escalate if required to achieve goals. 
  • Make sure the timely disposition of any Obsolete material. 
  • Train people on how to use power Bi Report. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • PowerBi knowledge would be an asset.
  • General knowledge of payroll, accounting, and business operations. Experience in these areas preferred.  
  • SYSPRO experience preferred.
  • Strong auditing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be process driven.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control and/or supply chain.

Education

  • University degree or College Diploma in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
