Business Intelligence Analyst - OTP

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst- OTP

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Mitsubishi Power personnel and affiliated business units to aid in the design and development of innovative digital products and services
• Ability to estimate work for defined features and user stories
• Build new PowerBI reports and maintain existing reports.
• Clean and analyze business datasets.
• Report out dashboards / metrics monthly to management.
• Understand and identify business needs to determine appropriate data solutions.
• Meet project deadlines as indicated in a project plan and assigned tasks.
• Write technical documentation for PowerBI reports.
• Business travel < 10% by land and/or air as required.
• Perform other such duties as may be required

Other Duties & Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and overall computer navigational skills.

• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
• Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education

• Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar from an accredited college or university or technical institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• • Language Skills: Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to troubleshoot to define and identify problems. Collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to take prompt corrective actions.
  • Computer Skills: Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Figma
  • Thorough understanding of data fundamentals (relationships, data types, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Fundamental programming knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Understanding of (and ability to execute) good design concepts for data visualization.
• Experience with PowerBI and DAX is preferred, but not required. Otherwise, experience working with a modern programming language or database management system is required
