Job Description: 

SUMMARY

Support the Field Service Operational Excellence and Service Quality department in sourcing data for Power+ objectives through a summer internship program. The internship aims to engage two interns to assist in researching recent outages, analyzing data related to scaffolding costs, and generating initiatives to improve contractor utilization, resource management, and cost efficiency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

    • Conduct research on recent outages, including reviewing time sheets, vendor invoices, and related documents.
    • Analyze data to determine the duration of scaffolding support compared to total outage duration.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate initiatives aimed at improving contractor utilization and resource management.
    • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the Field Service department.
    • Provide input on current research tools and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

      • Education and/or Experience:  Active student in a college or university pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field preferred. In their sophomore year or above.

 

      • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other team members.
      • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform necessary calculations to satisfy job requirements.
      • Reasoning Ability: Ability to make judgment decisions based on specifications or technical requirements. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
