Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Combustion Tuning Execution Manager.

 

SUMMARY

 

Select and apply leadership and technical support for service execution engineering techniques and procedures in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and startup of gas/steam turbines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead, coordinate and enforce all technical policies and procedures pertaining to controls execution and combustion tuning operations.
  • Provide start-up, commissioning, operations and, or troubleshooting support for equipment failures, determine root cause, and implement solutions.
  • Analyze, review, and authorize all post-outage tuning parameter changes.
  • Develop and maintain process and/or procedures that address combustion tuning on MHI and Non-OEM gas turbines.
  • Provide operational guidance to the Mitsubishi Power, Americas fleet of gas turbines with respect to combustor pressure fluctuation, emissions, and combustion tuning parameters.
  • Lead and assist in troubleshooting and diagnostic activities associated with on-site combustor pressure fluctuation monitoring equipment.
  • Interact and provide assistance to internal Mitsubishi Power, Americas work groups, such as Turbine Engineering Services, Tomoni Hub, and LTSA, in support of analyzing and addressing combustor pressure fluctuation and combustion tuning issues involving the Mitsubishi Power, Americas gas turbine fleet.
  • Develop and implement internal training programs for controls and combustion tuning personnel.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA) in Engineering from four-year college or university; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, etc. Control systems experience with T3000, Ovation, Mark VI, TXP a plus.
