SUMMARY
Controls Systems Integration Engineers are responsible for the technical production and installation of digital control systems and cybersecurity systems used on Mitsubishi and non-OEM gas turbines. These systems include advanced control technologies such as Windows servers, virtualized environments, secure networking, and multi-layered cybersecurity tools. Integration activities involve configuring domain controllers, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Windows OS (10/11, Server editions), Linux systems, and managing system-wide tools like WSUS for centralized patch management. Engineers also integrate third-party software, hardware firewalls, and virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V) to create reliable and resilient systems for internal and external stakeholders. The Controls Systems Integration Engineer II evaluates operational issues, adjusts turbine control settings, and makes logic or hardware changes to improve reliability. Supported components include CPUs, data highways, electronic devices (e.g., switches, routers, positioners, instruments), storage devices, and network infrastructure. This intermediate role provides technical authority on routine assignments, following established processes, and progressively handling more complex challenges under the supervision of senior engineers or management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the evaluation and enhancement of control system operations with an increasing scope of responsibility. The Controls Integration Service Engineer II will perform routine work assignments with limited supervision and will actively work to increase product knowledge and skills.
- Preparation of documentation, drawings, schematics and computer systems for customer upgrades and remote support of field service during site installations. Coordination of upgrade activities with field service, MHPS (Japan) and the GTSE Controls Integration team.
- Diagnosis of site issues, answer engineering service requests, root cause analysis, sales and program manager site issue support.
- Work well on the production team assigned with other systems engineers and IT personnel to produce the required systems on time per the provided implementation specification and with other team members and management.
- Work well with customers and field service personnel during site installs and coordinate activities with the customer point of contact during the installation.
- Follow all site and company safety procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Make suggestions for product and service improvements that will increase customer satisfaction with Mitsubishi products and services.
- Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts, and where possible, enhance the documentation and configuration control methods in use by Gas Turbine Service Engineering.
- Ensure products meet or exceed company standards and meet customer requirements.
- Availability for work after normal working hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

- Education and/or Experience: BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, or a minimum of five (5) years directly related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system definition. Ability to apply and write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, vendors and other employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to make judgment decisions based on specifications or technical requirements and associated risks.
- Computer Skills: Advanced personal computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) VLANs, WSUS, control system logic, computer hardware, Active Directory, Group Policies.
