Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a Director, PGS Parts Operations and Strategic Planning.

 

SUMMARY

 

Provide leadership and implementation of parts related matters (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, Auxiliaries, etc.). Lead the team and individual contributors responsible for responding to internal and external requests for quote, order entry, parts planning, delivery, and billing.  Provide insights and collaborate with Supply Chain, S&OP, Sales, Commercial Ops, Engineering, Service Operations and Field Outage Services to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability of Mitsubishi Power Americas. Provide a central point of order coordination and communication for the activities involved with the Order Fulfillment process.  Requires excellent communication skills (written and verbal). 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify process and capability gaps and recommend improvements to better meet customer expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to provide standardized processes related to parts processing, including OF, exchanges, S&OP, etc.
  • Oversee financial performance of parts business, actual vs as sold reviews, invoice approvals, and A/R collection efforts.
  • Participate in offer approvals per GOA level.
  • Focus on improving customer experience with quoting and ordering flow parts: quote and delivery cycles, technical information, customer advocacy.
  • Support Warranty and Quality (PLM) leadership on warranty related matters for Parts business. Participate in root cause efforts for significant defects to reduce recurrence and contain defects to minimize customer impacts.
  • Provide input to pricing analysts, sourcing and factories with cost and delivery targets.
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve urgent customer deliverables as identified via management escalation processes.
  • Create a team environment where the team is energized by excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain continuous informational exchanges and communications with Sales, Service Operations, Engineering, Field Outage Services and Supply Chain to ensure customer needs (internal and external) are fulfilled timely;
  • Lead and direct parts management personnel and provide the guidelines and requirements to achieve complete customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
  • Work with NAM, TGO, and Supply Chain on cost, schedule, quality, and capabilities to support current and future parts strategies.
  • Strategize on parts demands and forecast, considering all supply chains (inventory of new and repairable parts, factory supply, vendor supply chain).
  • Develop strategies and execute upon, to achieve corporate target inventory levels.
  • Support Inventory initiatives within the Diamond Service Network
  • Develop departmental metrics that identify and define critical customer service criteria and provide measurements and status to the internal customers.
  • Actively monitor material demands in the areas of fulfillment, deliveries and costs; track performance against target metrics.
  • Work with other PGS teams to develop, process, and maintain a list of critical emergency spares.
  • Provide training or identify training needs within the department to ensure the group’s success.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; with at least five (5) years related of industry relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
