Role Overview
- Assist with engineering activities that support reverse engineering initiatives, customer inquiries, and other technical objectives.
- Support data collection, analysis, and technical documentation to aid engineering decision-making and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and MPA staff to develop, document, and implement strategies supporting engineering goals.
- Work with design teams regarding product design and tooling to ensure efficient reverse engineering methods and high-quality data.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize technical and inspection data for ongoing engineering projects.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support reverse engineering and customer-related activities.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions as required.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company objectives while contributing to a positive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with employees at various levels of the organization and safeguard confidential information.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline at an accredited university.
- Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Fundamental mathematical skills including basic arithmetic, percentages, ratios, and interpretation of graphs.
- Logical reasoning skills with the ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions in standardized situations.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications including internet tools, spreadsheet software, presentation software, and word processing programs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally in an industrial environment while adhering to required safety procedures.
