Role Overview
- Assist with activities supporting reverse engineering initiatives, customer inquiries, and other engineering objectives through data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Confer with engineering staff to develop, author, and implement strategies that support facilities engineering goals.
- Collaborate with design personnel regarding product design and tooling to ensure efficient reverse engineering methods and high-quality data.
- Collect, analyze, and document engineering data and findings.
- Prepare reports and technical documentation to support projects and customer requests.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and report unsafe activities.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Protect confidential information and maintain the highest standards of integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Student enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering at an accredited university.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare basic correspondence, instructions, and technical information.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning and common-sense understanding to written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Basic knowledge of reading engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with internet applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or similar software.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, talk, and hear regularly and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments and use required personal protective equipment.
