The Financial Business Analyst III will be responsible for providing analytic support by maintaining, analyzing, and reporting key performance measures to the business unit management. This role requires the individual to work independently as well as part of the overall team, with a high level of initiative and motivation to ensure that deliverables are met. Major responsibilities will include data mining and analysis to supply value-added information in order to optimize processes by using various reporting and analytical tools. Additionally, this position will help to further develop the framework for evaluating and measuring operational and strategic performance and highlight areas of focus and opportunity to be able and provide excellent service to our internal and external customers.




• Collaborate daily in the activities of revenue recognition, preparing/consolidating/analyzing financial statements

• Prepare required disclosures, budgets and key performance measures associated with Field Service projects.

• Prepare Ad Hoc reports to provide transparency around the operational performance of Field Service projects

• Responsible for financial performance regarding P&L and Balance Sheet

• Prepare and report monthly/quarterly and yearly Field Service Backlog Forecast and analyze variance compared to current fiscal year budget

• Forecast of Field Service monthly opportunities and risks and report to managements

• Analyze operating results to identify solutions for management attention

• Support the maintenance of General Ledger including various accounts, such as Unbilled Receivables, Deferred Sales, Work in Process, Warranty, Accrued Expenses, Sales, Cost of Goods Sold, Depreciation and Operating Expenses

• Perform Field Service accounting closing duties by preparing projects accruals journal entries, reconciling and analyzing different accounts

• Responsible of reconciliation of internal accounts

• Responsible for preparing financial information requested by internal and external auditors. 

• Responsible for coordinating information requests from Mitsubishi Power Americas to the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in LATAM countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia & Brazil)

• Manage all Field Service LATAM financial activities including day-to-day accounting functions, preparation of month-end project accruals journal entries

• Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time and in accordance with the closing schedule




• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university, at least ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public/ Spanish is a plus.

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Computer Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems, and accounting, database, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, word processing and email software.
