Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support our Tactical Buying team. This position will offer valuable hands-on experience in procurement operations, supply chain data management, and strategic reporting. The ideal candidate will assist in managing assigned commodities, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting procurement KPIs and records to drive sourcing efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the tactical execution of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Support communication and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and return defective items.
  • Perform audits of purchasing-related master data (materials, vendors, info records).
  • Identify data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date data in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Collect and analyze procurement performance data.
  • Create regular reports on key performance indicators (e.g., on-time delivery, PO cycle time, cost savings).
  • Assist in preparing presentations and dashboards for internal review.
  • Create and maintain purchase info records in SAP.
  • Ensure accuracy of vendor pricing, lead times, and sourcing details.
  • Coordinate with buyers and vendors to validate PIR data.
  • Provide administrative support for sourcing activities and tactical buyer tasks.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
