Job Description: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, services, parts, supplies, departmental services and other materials

  • Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.   
  • Review supplier invoices in the current Accounts Payable system.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for field service operations.
  • Set up new suppliers in SharePoint and obtain required supplier documentation for QA, Engineering and Global Sourcing review.
  • Perform Restricted Party Screenings and D&B reports.
  • Assist in obtaining NDA’s and uploading executed NDAs into SharePoint.
  • Assist in sharing technical data packages with suppliers for engineering.
  • Request accounts receivable summaries for key suppliers.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid tabs related to field service project procurement as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in purchasing, supply chain management, and cross-functioning teams to implement best practices and improve efficiency.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and coordinate with legal when required.
  • Travel up to 10%.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university; and as a minimum three (3) years of procurement experience in the power generation industry; or, eight(8) years of procurement experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities has been achieved. MBA/ ISM/ APCIS Members/ CSCM or CPIM, preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
