Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager serves as the onsite HR leader for Mitsubishi Power Americas’ Orlando Service Center, a dynamic advanced manufacturing facility supporting more than 350 employees engaged in turbine component manufacturing and repair. This role begins as highly tactical and operational, focused on optimizing HR processes for consistency, compliance, and scalability, and evolves into a strategic business partner role as the HR function matures. The HR Manager provides leadership to onsite HR Generalists and a Recruiter, acts as the escalation point for complex HR matters, and partners closely with site and enterprise HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite HR leader for the Orlando manufacturing facility, providing direction and prioritization of HR activities.
- Provide functional leadership and oversight to HR Generalists and the local Recruiter.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high-risk employee relations matters.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations, standard work, and consistent HR practices across the site.
- Own and continuously improve HR processes including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, leave management, and recordkeeping.
- Identify process inefficiencies, compliance risks, and opportunities for standardization and scalability.
- Develop HR processes that support operational needs and can be replicated across other sites.
- Partner with HR leaders across sites and business units to align best practices, tools, and shared processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Partner with Legal, Safety, and Operations to mitigate risk and ensure consistent policy application.
- Provide functional direction to recruiting activities, including workforce planning and hiring priorities.
- Partner with site leadership to develop workforce forecasts aligned with production demands.
- Support and ensure consistent execution of onboarding and performance management processes.
- Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee development.
- Coordinate and support management training related to interviewing, hiring, and employee relations.
- Provide guidance on employee benefits and leave programs including health plans, PTO, and leaves of absence.

- se data-driven insights to recommend improvements and provide reporting and risk assessments.
- Demonstrate Mitsubishi Power core competencies including action orientation, change leadership, customer focus, ownership, and people development.
- Support multi-site alignment initiatives and perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum six years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience providing functional leadership to HR team members; people management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing HR processes and streamlining operations.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, and HR process ownership.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders to achieve strategic and operational goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SuccessFactors, UKG, and Paylocity preferred.
