Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a Human & Organization Performance Program Manager.
SUMMARY
The Human & Organization Performance (HOP) Program Manager plays a key role in advancing organizational safety, efficiency, and first-time quality by integrating HOP principles across the organization. This position is responsible for driving organizational learning, enhancing cultural maturity, and embedding core values into operations. The HOP Program Manager will align initiatives with strategic goals to foster continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings expertise in organizational development, learning strategies, and employee engagement, with a demonstrated focus on achieving impactful and sustainable results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion and embed the Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) philosophy across the organization. Design, implement, and communicate processes and initiatives that reinforce HOP principles and support organizational growth.
- Conduct periodic visits to outages and active job sites to monitor and coach teams on applying HOP principles in real-world environments, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Integrate the HOP philosophy into senior leadership’s strategic goals. Provide expert guidance to leaders on leveraging HOP principles to enhance organizational performance, focusing on reducing the likelihood and impact of undesirable events.
- Partner with the PGS Transformation Office, Organizational Excellence, Quality, and HOP Champions to evaluate and refine business processes, ensuring they align with HOP values and drive operational excellence.
- Collect and analyze process data to identify and recommend practices that enhance safety, operational excellence, productivity, and cost efficiency, aligning with the HOP philosophy.
- Explore and implement technologies that support business process redesigns, fostering an environment where the HOP philosophy thrives. Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams to integrate strategic technology solutions.
- Lead and coach a cross-functional team of HOP Champions. Provide consistent guidance on applying the HOP philosophy and drive the development of new or enhanced initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Act as a company-wide advocate for continuous learning aligned with HOP principles. Facilitate HOP Training, coach Learning Teams, lead Event Learning assessment reviews, and support broader learning initiatives. Collaborate with quality and safety teams to analyze event data (incidents, near misses, good catches) and identify trends for improvement.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Personnel will report to the Orlando Service Center when not traveling to support offsite initiatives.
- Researches best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
- Support other Organizational Excellence initiatives as needed.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit and ONE TEAM culture.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management at all levels.
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university; or at least ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferable experience in Power Generation Industry and/or Organizational and Human Performance.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of database software; certification software; training software; risk management software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software. Advanced knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and Project) is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
