Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Long-Term Service Agreements Program Manager.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall management and implementation of Long-Term Agreements (LTSA/LTMA). Including but not limited to the coordination of resources required to successfully implement the requirements of the LTSA/LTMA contract.
The Service Operations LTA Program Manager is an advanced position that requires capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision. The manager must have the capability to make sound recommendations regarding safety, reliability and integrity of the products and services being provided. The manager will be given greater leadership responsibility and opportunities for direct interface with customers. The LTA Program Manager also manages and coordinates all parties necessary for event planning of the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, technical responses for customer inquiries, scope recommendations, upgrade opportunities, and operational reviews.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (I)
- Understand and further develop contract requirements.
- Establish requirements for and track cross-functional internal planning efforts for outages.
- Hold Service Manager responsible for outage event planning, logistic deliverables and communicating requirements clearly via scope definition during event planning.
- Provide project management for contractual endeavors requiring Open, Inspection, Repair, and Close activities.
- Understand and be able to communicate reasons for deviation from planned cost and schedule.
- Provide updates and present deviations to project budgets and schedules.
- Review and approve customer invoices in a timely manner. Oversee submission and processing.
- Work with finance team and support collections to maintain Accounts Receivable / Cashflow
- Frequent travel to customer plant sites, often weekly, for the purpose of planning outage requirements and meeting with the customer on all contract issues. Help in the development of new processes / improve current processes.
- Review all aspects of the contract, maintain lessons learned, contingency plans, etc.
- Serve as focal point for the resolution of technical issues.
- Explore opportunities to increase sales to existing and/or new customers.
- Maintain accurate information in various systems utilized across the company for outage planning.
- Provide project administration including documentation of warranty issues.
- Resolve warranty issues.
- Track all operating hours and starts for Covered Units / Interval Life Components. Calculate and report actual operating hours, actual starts and equivalent operating hours to appropriate personnel.
- Coordination of parts, repairs and the ordering of new parts to support outages at the customer’s plant site.
- Understand and follow the history of parts in the units. This includes the hours, starts and remaining life of parts in the unit and in repair.
- Ensure parts required to implement an outage are on site prior to the start of the outage.
- Expedite parts as required to support the LTSA/LTMA contract requirements.
- When an outage is complete, arrange to ship parts off site for repair.
- Follow the status of repair parts while off site to ensure they return to support the next outage.
- Reorder parts to replace non-repairable parts.
- Forecast part requirements and arrange for parts required by the LTSA/LTMA.
- Follow part orders to ensure parts are manufactured to support outages.
- Consult with engineering on the remaining life of parts that have been in operation.
- Support internal process improvement efforts.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (II)
- Proficiency in all duties as described in level (I).
- Able to train/mentor other LTA Program Managers in certain areas as experience allows.
- Independent and proactive in reporting deviations on Schedule / Budget.
- Improved ability to manage a variety of customers, contracts, and equipment types collaborating with management for decisions.

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or at least six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this position. Experience in power or oil and gas highly preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database.
