Role Overview

The Long-Term Service Manager is responsible for managing the overall technical planning, execution and maintenance in accordance with Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) in Latin America (LATAM). The Long-Term Service Manager leads teams in ensuring the execution of inspections, upgrades, maintenance, and planned outages while lowering costs and remaining under budget. The Long-Term Service Manager will consult with clients and provide the best recommendations specific to safety, quality, reliability and integrity of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical planning and execution of assigned Long Term Service agreement projects in LATAM.
  • Manage Mitsubishi Power technical resource management to ensure appropriate support levels around LTSA workload and demand.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams on contracts specific to local and international suppliers for products needed to execute on inspections.
  • Lead the coordination of consumable, contingency and planned parts to support outages at client plant locations in LATAM.
  • Direct and guide teams on the execution of LTSA planned/unplanned events.
  • Act as subject matter expert on project budget, costs, deliverables for all LATAM assigned projects. 
  • Conduct post outage reviews to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of US and international immigration policies and procedures.
  • Project Manage contractual responsibilities specific to open, inspections, repair and close activities. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant four-year degree from an accredited university is required.
  • ***Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English) and must currently live and reside in the U.S.***
  • 7+ years of Service/Program management leadership experience specific to Power Generation or Utilities industries in LATAM.
  • Field Service experience supporting power plants in LATAM specific to gas turbine engineering, configuration, manufacturing, boundary conditions, temperatures, and materials.
  • Hands on expertise with Gas/Steam turbines and generators.
  • Lead resource management activities required to execute inspections, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance based on Division of Responsibility (DOR).
  • Designate service teams in areas including: EHS (Environmental Health Services), quality, costs, scheduling, resource management.
  • Provide KPIs on overall performance, budget, quality, and deliverable timelines on LATAM projects
  • Manage and oversee the team responsible for completing necessary immigration documents and ensure employees are cleared for travel to support project outages.
  • Deep expertise on quality assurance and continuous improvement standards around ISO 9001.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
