Role Overview
• Responsible for setting up and operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
• Independently reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and technical data.
• Determines tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining sequences.
• Works efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while running multiple machines.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machines to produce quality parts.
• Read and perform operations per drawings, work instructions, and standard work.
• Make offset adjustments to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Verify fixture setups meet established quality standards.
• Calculate and set machine controls including speed, feed, cutting depth, and coolant flow.
• Assist Engineering with first-run and prove-out programs.
• Perform total productive maintenance (TPM) on equipment.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent, or three (3) years of related machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic machining experience including loading and unloading parts, tooling, and performing basic inspections.
• Experience with manual and CNC machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, or EDM equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions and technical documentation.
• Basic mathematical skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in a manufacturing environment with noise and moving equipment.
