Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power has a talented and diverse Control System department, and we provide a critical value to the organization and its stakeholders. Due to the continuing growth of our digital business, Mitsubishi Power is recruiting computer science, engineering, and information technology professionals at the beginning of their careers with the aim of developing them into our future leaders.
This development program will expose the intern to various aspects of Plant communications, data collection, monitoring, and cybersecurity within OT services.  This role will include work in system vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response & recovery, vendor qualification, presentation assembly, and competitive assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the business, key operational drivers, technology issues and related market forces for the assigned functional area
  • Support development of Onsite System Monitoring (OSM) strategic recommendations for OSM build and deployment processes.
  • Learn the multifaceted connection methodologies used in OSM and data transfer processes.
  • Evaluate Operational Technology cybersecurity services for customer vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, incident response & recovery.
  • Support proof-of-concept projects to validate product technology features and capabilities.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to ensure the proper cross-functional support in assigned areas.

 

Requirement

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree (BS) discipline in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or equivalent in a four-year college or university. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or other internal customers
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of database software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software; electronic mail; graphics; technical diagrams; flow charts, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
