Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Fl is looking for a Field Services Outage Optimization Manager

 

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

  • Support development, maintain and implement Outage Optimization plans to support gas turbine, steam turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment maintenance and upgrades. Plans should include but not limited to Work Packages and Tooling with a focus on Technical Details, Safety Concerns and to Improve Efficiency.
  • Support development and implementation of SAP FSM (Field Service Management) to support gas turbine, steam turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment maintenance and upgrades. • Support SAP FSM personnel with daily operations.
  • Work with the Productivity Director for the development and rollout of tooling. • Work with the Houston Operations Manager for the development and rollout of tooling, and for development and maintenance of work packages and SAP FSM. • Work with outage sites and shop facilities to ensure proper tooling and procedures are available and being properly utilized for the performance of work in accordance with the Outage Optimization plans.
  • Work with outage sites and shop facilities to ensure tooling and procedures are shared to the greatest extent possible.
  • Provide support for field recommendations for work packages and tooling provided by field personnel through interactions, observations, and via Field Service Feedback system.
  • Responsible for incorporation of critical information from sources like Safety Flashes, Quality Flashes, Tool Flashes, etc. into things like Work Packages, Procedures, and SAP FSM with the goal of making necessary information readily available to the personnel performing the work.
  • Support development, maintain and implement training materials for Work Packages, Tools, FSICP and Procedures.
  • Analyze customer feedback and post-outage data including but not limited to Lessons Learned database to determine ways to improve future customer satisfaction, resource utilization and reduce cost
  • . Visit MPWA outages and shops as needed to perform job functions. Overnight travel (approximately 40% or more) by land and/or air. • Perform other such duties as may be required.
  • May be asked to complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business-related field from accredited college/university or its recognized equivalent in directly related work experience. Minimum 10 years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, engineering drawings, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

 

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, conversions, and proportions to practical situations.

 

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Extensive knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, presentation software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, ERP, PDM, etc.
