Summary
Provide forecasting and implementation support for impacts to key part inventories. The Parts Project Engineer I is an entry level position which requires basic knowledge of engineering/computer principles and begins to develop industry specific knowledge through training and work assignments
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Support Safety Stock and Risk Demand Stock updates as business decisions are made on stocking levels
• Track and trend Safety Stock and Risk Demand Stock parts usage to highlight parts inventory risk
• Identify non-moving inventory for modification or potential use to cover parts inventory risk
• Track and trend 501F inventory usage with the Transactional Sales fleet
• Maintain the 501F parts inventory data and develop reports to share with Sales
• Create a functional database of intermixability, parts pedigree, and operating intervals as part of the 501F inventory report
• Back-up Repair Program Managers and Material Planners with technical information related to interchangeable parts
• Support and develop digital tools and solutions such as SharePoint, CRM, low-code/no-code environments (such as Microsoft Power Platform)
• Support interdepartmental project planning / forecast process and update documentation with any improvements
• Support with requests from TGO for destructive testing and RCA inspections through development of a tracking system for all requests and the associated business impacts
• Assist Hot Gas Path Parts Operations Manager in day-to-day operations and reporting
• Perform other such duties as may be required

Knowledge, Skills & Education
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA) in Engineering from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, etc. Ability to understand basic computational and logic statements, especially in support of no-code/low-code development.
