SUMMARY

Mitsubishi Power Americas is a major power generation equipment and storage solutions provider for the energy industry. The Portfolio Analyst role reports to the Portfolio Risk Manager of Power Generation Service (PGS) and provides financial and commercial support to the Operations team for the management and planning of Gas Turbine Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s). This role will work cross functionally as needed with finance, service execution, Engineering, and other groups to coordinate activities related to the management of Long-Term service agreements’ such as financial modeling and New core (Hot Gas Path) parts demand.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and optimize parts rotation planning within the LTSA financial models
  • Lead LTSA Parts rotation reviews quarterly and/or post- outage, and update associated LTSA financial models required to support the planning and ordering of parts;
  • Create and maintain SAP new parts demand of HGPP (Hot Gas Path Parts) for LTSA contracts.
  • Coordinate and communicate with service execution team in relation the New HGPP demand.  
  • Validate parts configuration with Engineering and Operations teams;
  • Support cost and productivity updates within financial models;
  • Support creation of new LTSA project financial models;
  • Support commercial sales teams analyses of LTSA scope revisions
  • Perform Risk management related tasks.

      • Education and/or Experience: Accredited degree from college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience equal to five (5) years.
      • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business general business financial statements. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, suppliers and the general public.
      • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
      • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
      • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, internet software and basic database.  Knowledge of business reporting software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is desirable.
