Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Process Engineer – Coatings and Robotics.
SUMMARY
Provide technical support to manufacturing and repair organizations and assume technical responsibility for entire coating process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain knowledge base for applicable coating processes and resolve all coating specific technical issues.

Support Component Quality and Nonconformance Dispositions of coatings.
-
Project Manage process specific projects and ensuring completion within schedule.
-
Develop process mapping for projects.
-
Project Manage implementation and revision of repair process templates, process sheets and specifications.
-
Determine spray parameters and continued improvement of the process.
-
Write Technical Qualification Updates/Reports.
-
Write and assure completion of work instructions.
-
Coordinate their project with other departments to assure all development, FAI, and documentation is complete.

Utilize direct employee group as a resource for development.
-
Continuously work on process optimization and removing non-value added work.

Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts.

Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements.

Perform other such duties as may be required.

Support all shifts for any coating related issues or improvements via prompt communication with off shift.

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education & Experience:
BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, or a minimum of five (5) years of equivalent experience in robotics and/or thermal barrier coatings.
Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry reports and technical journals.

Ability to write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to perform necessary calculations to satisfy job requirements.
-
Ability to make judgment decisions based on material specifications or technical requirements.
-
Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, drawings, programming language, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Hearing protection may be recommended and/or required in some areas.
