Role Overview

The Rotor Product Line Manager (PLM) – manages the strategic and commercial lifecycle of rotor-related product offerings across the heavy-duty gas turbine and steam turbine fleet. This role is responsible for defining and executing product strategies that improve reliability, availability, manufacturability, and lifecycle cost, while ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives. The PLM works cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Service teams to develop and commercialize rotor solutions that drive growth, profitability, and fleet performance.

The ideal candidate for this role brings a combination of deep technical understanding of turbine rotors and strong product management acumen, with the ability to translate engineering realities into commercially successful solutions. They are comfortable operating in high value decision environments, while possessing a working knowledge of rotor behavior under high temperature and stress conditions, key failure mechanisms such as fatigue, creep, fracture mechanics and structural life assessment. Equally important, they have a strong appreciation for design for manufacturability, including forging, machining, inspection, and repair processes, along with awareness of inspection and refurbishment techniques such as NDT, weld repair, and coatings. Beyond technical depth, this individual understands the broader business context—how rotor decisions impact reliability, availability, performance, and lifecycle cost—and can effectively balance technical risk with cost and commercial value, partnering across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deliver solutions that win in the market and perform in the field.
