Role Overview

The Project Control Engineer II, Field Outage Services provides critical sales proposal support, cost estimating, high-level scheduling, and implementation assistance for Field Services projects. This role involves developing outage schedules, coordinating pre-outage planning, and supporting Commercial Operations and Sales in customer proposal development. The position requires proficiency with cost estimating software, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel overnight as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
• Develop high-level outage schedules for Field Services projects.
• Estimate outage duration and costs using cost estimating software.
• Maintain proficiency with cost estimating software.
• Develop cost estimating templates and standard work scope documents.
• Coordinate and support pre-outage planning activities, including schedule development, parts list creation, and drawings preparation.
• Support negotiation and implementation meetings to develop cost estimates.
• Assist Commercial Operations and Sales with the preparation of customer proposals.
• Conduct site walkdowns for complex scopes when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project and company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents (drawings, schematics, procedures), and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation skills with the ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Strong reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient in database, project management, spreadsheet, word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, and flowcharts.
• Valid driver’s license and passport required.
• Must be able to travel (approximately 20%), including frequent overnight domestic and international travel via air and ground transportation.
