Role Overview
The Regional Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager provides leadership, oversight, and commitment to the development, implementation and administration of EHS management systems and compliance initiatives across PGS field operations, outages, construction projects, maintenance activities, field service operations, and designated facilities including HRT and NDC. This position leads Senior EHS Coordinators and partners with operational leaders to ensure safe execution of work throughout PGS coverage areas. The Regional EHS Manager supports a consistent safety culture by strengthening employee and leadership capabilities, improving workforce competency, and reinforcing Mitsubishi Power's CARE framework and Protect What Matters commitment.
Reporting Structure
Reports To: Director, EHS - PGS
Direct Reports: Senior EHS Coordinators and assigned EHS resources
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, Establish and lead a continuous EHS improvement program supporting field and facility operations.
- Coach, and develop Senior EHS Coordinators.
- Provide EHS leadership during outages, construction projects, commissioning efforts, maintenance activities, and field service operations.
- Provide oversight for HRT, NDC, and assigned facilities.
- Lead risk assessments, pre-job planning, and Job Hazard Analysis reviews.
- Conduct contractor management reviews, field audits, site inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Lead significant incident investigations and corrective action programs.
- Support ISO 45001 and management system initiatives.
- Drive safety culture, operational discipline, and leadership engagement.

Knowledge, Skills & Education
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum 10 years related EHS experience and 5 years leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred certifications: CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OSHA 500, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid/AED. Strong knowledge of OSHA, contractor management, incident investigation, and risk management.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 50% of travel includes customer locations, outages, HRT, NDC, and other PGS facilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, and travel to industrial worksites. May lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and wear required PPE. Supports 24/7 service operations as business needs require.

- Promote and sustain a positive reporting culture demonstrated through proactive hazard identification, near miss reporting, safety observations, and workforce participation in continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing EHS professionals while building organizational EHS capability and leadership strength.
Customer
- Deliver positive EHS support and partnership experiences as measured through feedback from internal stakeholders, operational leaders, and external customers.
- Establish trusted relationships that support safe and successful execution of outages, construction projects, maintenance activities, field services, and facility operations.
- Achieve successful outcomes during customer reviews, audits, assessments, and operational performance evaluations.
Execution
- Lead and support effective Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) and Potential Serious Injury and Fatality (PSIF) prevention activities focused on critical risk identification, mitigation, and control verification.
- Ensure timely completion and sustain effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) resulting from audits, inspections, observations, incident investigations, and assessments.
- Successfully implement EHS management system initiatives, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement programs across assigned operations and facilities.
- Drive operational excellence through risk reduction, improved safety performance, and consistent execution of EHS standards and expectations.
