Role Overview
The Resource Execution Manager is responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing Field Service Supervisors and skilled craft employees, including Technicians, Bladers, Welders, Winders, and Machinists. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employee development, qualifications, performance management, and technical support. The Resource Execution Manager partners closely with the Field Service Resource Team, Training, Quality, and EHS to ensure employees are fully qualified, available, and prepared to support outage execution and long-term service operations. Occasional travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Manage and support field employees through performance evaluations, coaching, development planning, and daily employee needs.
- Forecast and manage employee qualifications, certifications, and development. plans using the Standardized Training and Certification Plan (STCP).
- Maintain accurate systems of record related to qualifications, training, and employee availability.
- Partner with the Field Service Resource Team to support resource planning, crew balancing, and mobilization/demobilization activities.
- Assist in assembling well-balanced field crews to optimize job site safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure employee availability by monitoring PTO, sick leave, personal leave, and mobilization schedules.
- Collaborate with EHS and Resource teams to ensure employees meet all training, immigration, and travel clearance requirements.
- Conduct audits and inspections during outage execution, including installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Analyze customer feedback and post-outage performance data to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance and support related to turbine, generator, and balance-of-plant maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in recruitment activities, candidate interviews, and talent review processes to retain and develop top talent.
- Provide feedback on the performance and quality of external supervision and labor providers, including union and open-shop resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant field service, technical, or operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of turbine, generator, and balance-of-plant maintenance and repair practices.
- Experience managing field personnel, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Proven ability to analyze workforce data, qualifications, and resource availability.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, databases, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with operations, training, quality, and EHS teams.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% or more, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
Physical & Safety Requirements
