Summary
Direct Mitsubishi Power technicians and subcontract personnel during the opening, inspection, and closing of gas & steam turbines, generators, valves, and auxiliaries during maintenance outages.
Provide oversight of projects to include mentoring, direction and corrective action of Field Service Foremen, FS Technicians and subcontractor personnel during the opening, inspection, and closing of gas & steam turbines, generators, valves, and auxiliaries during maintenance outages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- All Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills as required for lower tier job descriptions.
- Supervise personnel to accomplish installation, repair, analysis, or operation of customer’s equipment including but not limited to gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, exciters, valves, heat transfer apparatus and auxiliaries
- Assist in pre-planning for outage projects including resource, sub-contractor, and inventory management set-up.
- Implement Mitsubishi Power quality control, safety, and material control procedures.
- Assist Field Service Engineer (FSE) and/or Project Manager (PM) with data evaluation.
- Perform employee evaluations to ensure project quality and improvement.
- Assist Field Operations in the development of procedures, processes and purchasing of tooling.
- Maintain tooling inventory and communicate re-order with the FSE/PM.
- Provide training to technicians, and subcontracted labor.
- Overnight travel both domestic and international by land and/or air until contractual obligations are met.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
- Lead and Support safety and quality meetings with field technicians & labor subcontractors.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
- Maintain in good status a driver’s license and passport.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels.
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties.
- Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.

- Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; at least three (7) years’ experience and/or training with gas and/or steam turbine generator components; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
