Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida is looking for a Senior EHS Manager
SUMMARY
Provide leadership, oversight and commitment to the development, implementation and administration of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems and compliance initiatives across Mitsubishi Power-PGS’s internal and external customers. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company standards, deliver training programs, monitor and conclude all incidents related investigations and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Establish and lead a continuous EH&S process improvement program.
- Interprets, recommends, and Audit site activities for compliance with regulations and company or customer policy. – During the performance of work site audits, the program manager will interpret policy compliance and provide guidance to PMTs on steps necessary to maintain a safe and healthy worksite
- Annually review all site-specific health and safety policies, procedures and directed practices, ensuring policy changes and lessons learned are updated and communicated within each site specific safety plan – the program manager’s review of site specific EH&S policies and plans will ensure conformity is maintained between all interested parties and will work directly with EHS teams to ensure harmonious communications exist between PGS members and our customers
- Advises EH&S team members on gaps in processes, procedures, and policies and assists with the development of a communication plan that is measurable and monitored for effectiveness
- Educate and inform Project Management Team members on site-specific policies and procedures for projects that do not meet the requirements for a full time EH&S presence
- Lead incident investigations where full time EH&S presence is not assigned by guiding the Project Management Team through the root cause analysis process, ensuring preventative measures and corrective actions are incorporated in a timely manner
- Communicate incident findings and process improvement plans to interested parties; Spearhead action item implementation and process improvement strategies to all Mitsubishi Power-PGS assigned workers
- Attend pre-outage customer meetings as directed to ensure expectations are defined, understood, and adhered to when appropriate for Mitsubishi Power-PGS scopes of work.
- Supports the Compliance Manager as an ISO 45001 liaison for the Field Service Department by supporting internal and external audits of all Mitsubishi Power-PGS departments

- Support Houston operations by conducting periodic site visits, maintaining a Houston site specific safety plan, provide/assist with annual training and assess tooling inspections to ensure regulatory compliance
- Support LATAM EH&S Manager as needed and work with other BU leaders across North and South America
- Work with Commercial Operations and Compliance Manager to ensure Mitsubishi Power maintains passing grades with ISNetworld, AVETTA, Veriforce and any third party qualification platform.
- Supports completion customer safety questionnaires submitted to the EH&S department and return within time necessary to meet pre-bid qualifications.
- Maintain knowledge of PGS safety statistics to include monthly hours, quarterly and yearly running total, recordable injuries, TRIR and DART as well as Fiscal Year metrics and historical information for quick delivery to PGS management.
- Monitor CRM for accuracy, ensuring safety-staffing requirements are updated as necessary
- Maintain 24/7 availability; dispatch to sites as necessary to support emergent needs

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or at least ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of database software; risk management software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software
