SUMMARY
Support installation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs of turbine generator equipment. Ability to become quality certified for dimensional and visual inspection of various products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support electrical testing of equipment per Mitsubishi Power Americas procedures including but not limited to Megger, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter, AC & DC Hi-potential testing, Robotic Equipment, Tan Delta, El-Cid, Bump Test, and Power Factor.
- Support visual inspections of generator components and electrical equipment.
- Regularly work with chemicals such as epoxy resins, various paints, putties, etc. in performing maintenance and repairs.
- Support the removal/replacement of rotor and stator wedges and insulating materials.
- Rewinding equipment including taping, blocking, banding.
- Support rotor and stator rewinds.
- Brazing and Un-brazing of electrical connectors by torch, resistance, induction methods.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical/electrical issues.
- Support inspections and repairs on stator core, retaining ring, high voltage bushing, main lead, radial lead, exciter, collector, coolers, etc.
- Support open, inspect and close of electrical equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Work with various electrical, pneumatic, and manual hand tools; and mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
- Utilize safety and material control procedures during performance of work.
- Be responsible for tool kit assigned at hire date.
- Overnight travel both domestic and international until contractual obligations are met.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
