Job Description: 

SUMMARY

Assist in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing and manufacturing support activities to improve unit cost, cycle time or general manufacturability. Assist in coordination and communication of PCCI Summits and other project related activities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use project management tools to work directly with factory and sourcing teams to identify, develop, and lead projects to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams across business entities, including globally, to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Assist in the coordination and communication of PCCI Summit activities and other cross collaboration leadership meetings
  • Assist in maintaining tracking and reporting systems including defining key metrics and providing clear/concise dashboards to report progress.
  • Assist with the development of business cases to justify investment of resources for developing current or new product lines to meet business targets.
  • Support development of procedures and documentation of new products and expansion projects.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

  • Education and/or Experience: Student in a B.S. Engineering or similar program at a University.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.  Logically summarize inspection and work scope information for on-going projects. 
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software.
