Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Savannah, GA location.  The Maintenance Technician is a skilled and experienced professional responsible for performing complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across various systems and equipment within the facility. Responsibilities include the repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical components of machinery such as engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical systems, machine controls, and other aspects of production machines and equipment.  The Maintenance Technician must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as for any emergencies that may arise such as machine breakdowns, power outages, weather, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations at the company, local, state, and federal levels.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant safety/environmental certifications.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical problems. 
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools to support preventive maintenance and analyze performance trends.
  • Support mechanical diagnostics and installations, including precision components and motion control adjustments.
  • Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all communications and actions.

 

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school, or 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals communicate clearly in small group settings.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems issues on a diverse range of equipment and machinery including CNC equipment, PLC Diagnostics, HMI troubleshooting, Fanuc and Okuma.
  • Understanding of Logic pathways.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine issues.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software.
