Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power in Savannah, Georgia is seeking Manufacturing Interns for Spring 2026.  As part of our IGNITE Internship Program, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute. At Mitsubishi Power, we’re more than a team—we’re a family driving the global energy transition. Interns gain hands-on experience, tackle real-world challenges, and help shape innovative energy solutions in a collaborative, inclusive environment where every voice matters.  Interns will lead a semester-long design initiative tailored to key areas of manufacturing.

 

Potential project domains include:

  • Robotic coating and welding applications
  • 3D printing for tooling and rapid prototyping
  • Heavy machining operations
  • Lifting systems, tooling design, and large-scale assembly

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Build foundational knowledge of gas turbine sub-assemblies, including measurements, technical drawings, and standards.
  • Support manufacturing floor operations by developing and testing improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement (CI) projects.
  • Interpret technical reports and work instructions with accuracy.
  • Ensure proper documentation of quality processes and standards.
  • Assist in process optimization, automation integration, and elimination of non-value-added activities.
  • Interpret and create engineering drawings to support manufacturing needs.

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering from an accredited college or university with a graduation date of May 2026 or later.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry reports and technical journals.
  • Ability to make judgment decisions based on material specifications or technical requirements
  • Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, drawings, programming language, etc.
