Shop Services Coordinator

 

 

Summary

 

 

The Shop Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting the CSB Shop Services Project Managers and the CSB Shop Services Repair Specialist by coordinating, developing, researching, planning, proofing, editing, and delivering quality responses to commercial request for proposals. This position will work closely with internal departments to produce winning proposal responses. Provide project management support during the inquiry and execution phases of turbomachinery shop service projects.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

 

  • Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance, and continual improvement.
  • Adhere to the Company's objectives, i.e. Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security.
  • Ensure compliance with departments standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to engage with different departments such as Engineering, Operations, Procurement, etc. to pull together the required information for accurate proposal development.
  • Manage the customer interface with the salesperson, informing both on regular status updates for items such as inquiry acknowledgment and proposal release ETA.
  • Provide project management support during the inquiry to order phase of turbomachinery shop service projects.
    • Acknowledge receipt of inquiry
    • Initiate the customer setup process
    • Perform scope analysis
    • Perform scope decomposition
    • Develop schedules
    • Identify and ensure completion of bid requirements
    • Manage deliverables from responsible functions
    • Perform margin workup
    • Create commercial proposals for management review
    • Perform bid submittal validation
    • Support customer communication during proposal process
    • Acknowledge receipt of order
    • Ensure that all project documentation is filed in the appropriate location
  • Ensure compliance and integrity of proposal documentation by checking to see if reviewer comments/edits have been incorporated into the final proposal
  • Responsible for updating Project Manager databases.
  • Responsible for entering transactional data in SAP and Team center.
  • Responsible for scanning and repository of job books/routers after completion of the project.
  • Responsible for entering repair data to complete the final report.
  • Support Project Manager during invoicing of projects, collecting information & documentation required.

Requirements

 

 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in related field (Knowledge of Rotating equipment / Repair environment is a Plus)
  • Personnel management skills
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Compressor/Turbines   
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of ISO system
  • Good team player

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

 

  • Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills with a good experience working with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
  • Possess great attention to detail with the ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Understanding of Commercial Terms and Conditions
  • Ability to work with customers, engineers, sales, vendors, and procurement personnel in a fast paced environment.

 

 

Physical Demands

 

 

  • Ability to sit and work in front of a computer for majority of the day.
  • Minor lifting of files and/or boxes < 5 lbs.
