ACCOUNT MANAGER - OUTSIDE SALES

We are looking to hire a Account Manager - Outside Sales at our Sutton, MA facility.     

 

 

Overview:

 

A high visibility position, requiring intimate knowledge of the processing of steel in the long products segment of the industry. The candidate we are looking for will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, commercial savvy and strong mechanical aptitude.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for management and sales growth of existing accounts as well as the development of “new” targeted accounts throughout North America and globally.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the Forecasted Sales Targets set for each customer account.
  • Perform “Hands On” Trials of Primetals Guide Equipment at customer mill sites.
  • Assist with the coordination of Morgan product demonstrations at customer mill sites – “Road Shows”.
  • Attend steel industry conferences/symposiums and assist with the setup/breakdown of trade show booths as directed by Managing Director (AISE, IRD, etc).
  • Weekly review of manufacturing status reports indicating progression of orders.
  • Expediting internal and external suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Correspondence with customer regarding order delivery status.
  • Accounts receivable collections assistance.
  • Written call reports for each customer visit are required.

 

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Rolling Mill experience.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments.
  • Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for area of expertise.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
  • Metals market experience and knowledge of metals customer base.
  • Technical understanding.
  • Proven interdisciplinary, cross-functional thinker.
  • Selling and customer negotiation experience.
  • Good general economic knowledge.
  • Travel = 100%
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Exchange, Internet.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills
