The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for after-market / spares / services customers.  Tasks will include the inquiry/proposal stage through the finance collection process as well as the administrative functions.  A high visibility position, requiring excellent communication skills, commercial skills and a positive attitude.  This position requires occasional travel. (10%)



  • Develop strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and developing sales reports and metrics
  • Respond to client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers.
  • Liaise with internal teams including proposals and engineering to support customer experience.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Analyze Business financial results, sales reports and other performance indicators
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure proper recognition of Project Revenues and Cost
  • Assist  in monitoring Product planned cost and variance analysis
  • Assist with challenging customer requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Order management tasks for spares and service including weekly review of manufacturing status reports, expediting internal and external suppliers and corresponding with customer regarding order delivery status
  • Customer credit limit management
  • Accounts receivable collections assistance


Required Knowledge/skills, Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
  • Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for area of expertise.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
  • Proven interdisciplinary, cross-functional thinker.
  • Selling and customer negotiation experience.
  • Negotiations skills
  • Travel = 10%

Proficiency with the following software a plus:

  • Blueprint reading a plus but not required
