What You’ll Do:
As a Technician – Operations and Maintenance, you will play a critical role in the reliability and safety of our APM systems. From preventive maintenance and diagnostics to recovery missions and Central Control operations, you’ll be on the frontlines of transit technology.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.

Interpret and apply schematics, technical manuals, and system documentation to identify and resolve issues.

Use advanced tools including micrometers, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers to calibrate and validate component performance.

Operate and monitor Central Control following all operational and safety protocols.

Lead or assist in vehicle recovery operations, ensuring minimal service disruption.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using our Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS).

Communicate effectively over public address and two-way radio systems.
Additional Responsibilities:

Support site operations through collaboration and workflow optimization.

Promote and uphold CMSI’s high safety and cleanliness standards.

Participate in safety briefings, team meetings, and cross-functional knowledge sharing.

Be flexible and ready to take on other assignments as needed.
What You Bring:
-
1–3+ years of hands-on experience in an electro-mechanical or related technical field.
-
Working knowledge of APM systems a strong plus!

Proficiency with schematics, diagnostic tools, and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, oscilloscopes).

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must meet airport security requirements and pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and color vision (Ishihara) test.
Education & Certifications:
-
Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent military/industry experience) preferred.

Technical certification in Aviation, Automotive, or Electro-Mechanical Technology is a plus.

CMSI requires verified documentation of degrees and/or certifications before employment.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
-
Comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance when needed).

Frequent walking, climbing, crouching, reaching, and handling small tools and parts.

Exposure to moving parts, electrical systems, noise, and occasional fumes.
