We’re hiring a Trainer to help drive our continued success!
Here are the daily responsibilities of a Trainer:
- Develop and update courseware related to theoretical and practical training in compliance with regulatory agencies involved in the certification of MHI RJ Aviation training curriculums.
- Create, deliver, and revise exams associated with theoretical and practical maintenance instruction in areas of expertise, adhering to guidelines from applicable regulatory agencies such as Transport Canada and/or FAA.
- Participate in continuous self-development of technical expertise enabling assignment of a wide area of maintenance training responsibilities.
- Prepare, develop, and instruct specialized courses to fit specific customer needs and requirements.
- Conduct training needs analysis to determine the requirements of the intended course.
- Identify the target audience, depth of instruction, key teaching points, and objectives of the intended lesson.
- Ensure that all key teaching points and training objectives conform to standards established by regulatory authorities involved in certification of the end product.
- Develop training plans, outlining a logical flow of information suited to meet the identified training objectives.
- Use applicable software to assemble training material to satisfy the course training plans including developing draft graphics for submission to external support departments.
- Develop multimedia presentations and lesson plans to support course delivery.
- Validate training material prior to implementation.
Here is what is required to succeed:
- FAA-certified mechanic (Airframe required; Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in formal instruction.
- Working knowledge of instruction techniques, skills, and abilities, as well as prior instructional experience.
- Experience in developing curriculum mapping and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact with Customer Representatives to successfully resolve any outstanding issues or concerns.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs, including but not limited to Teams or Virtual Meeting Platforms: PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel in order to develop, revise and deliver training material and presentations.
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross functional work groups.
Work Environment:
Position requires full-time presence at our Tucson, AZ facility with on-site collaboration essential to role success
