Role Overview
The Project Management Intern supports project planning, execution, and monitoring activities while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional project environment. This role works closely with project teams to assist with coordination, stakeholder communication, and process improvement initiatives. The position is ideal for a motivated, detail‑oriented student seeking practical exposure to project management fundamentals and real‑world project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing key discussion points, and documenting action items.
- Track project progress and support the preparation and updating of project status reports.
- Communicate regularly with project team members to ensure tasks and deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Identify potential project risks, issues, or delays, and escalate concerns to project leadership as appropriate.
- Maintain organized project documentation and files, ensuring accuracy and easy accessibility.
- Support cross‑functional collaboration by coordinating efforts between internal teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping optimize workflows and enhance project execution efficiency.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort collaborating in team‑based environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including document creation and basic data handling.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Jira is a plus.
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Experience working in team‑based settings, gained through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
